Discovery: On your Scenic Discovery excursions, be in awe of the majesty of nature as you step onto beaches surrounded by thousands of king penguins and encounter enormous southern elephant seals and countless fur seals. In Grytviken, a former whaling station, you'll have the opportunity to visit the resting place of Ernest Shackleton. Discovery excursions led by the Discovery team offer unique insights into the environment, wildlife and history dependent on ice and weather conditions.</p>

<p>The Falkland Islands are a unique archipelago teeming with wildlife and nature intertwined with an intriguing history and culture. Saunders Island is where you can see the gentoo, Magellanic and rockhopper penguins on white sandy beaches. Discovery: Enjoy Scenic Discovery excursions by Zodiac, kayak and nature walks. Discover the picturesque capital of the Falklands, Stanley, and get to know the friendly locals who are proud of their history and heritage which you will uncover at the museum. Freechoice: Take a walking tour of the small capital or on a Battlefields tour visit the key sites of the conflict. Discovery: Scenic Discovery excursion at Gypsy Cove, walk the wildlife trail and see the Magellanic penguin colony.</p>
