Day 1 UK - Amsterdam (Holland)

Fly from the UK to Amsterdam. Be met on arrival and transferred to your river ship. Perhaps take a stroll to discover all of the iconic sights. On board tonight, meet your Cruise Director and fellow passengers during a Welcome Reception. (D)
Day 2 Amsterdam

Amsterdam’s network of 17th-century canals lends the city its nickname – ‘The Venice of the North’. Today you will board a glass-top boat and glide past the city’s waterside sights with a local guide. Back on land, enjoy some free time to explore. From here, your ship will set off along the Rhine, allowing you to enjoy a special Welcome Dinner while you cruise. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Cologne (Germany)

Learn how the twin spires of Cologne’s famous cathedral, the Kölner Dom, took over six centuries to complete as you cruise into this picturesque city. Disembark and take the short drive to Brühl for your Insider Experience. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the centre of Cologne at your leisure. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Cochem

Soak up the scenery as your ship gently twists through some of Europe’s prettiest stretches along the Moselle River. Disembark in the pretty town of Cochem in the Moselle Valley. Explore the narrow alleyways with their half-timbered houses and visit the magnificent Cochem Castle. Perched on a hill overlooking the beautiful Moselle River, this castle could be straight from the pages of a fairytale. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Rhine Gorge - Rüdesheim

Experience the stunning Rhine Gorge as you cruise today, considered by locals to be the most beautiful section of the Rhine River. Watch in awe as steep slopes covered in vineyards and dotted with ancient castles drift past, before your ship docks in Rudesheim, a Rhine Gorge wine town. Here, the Winzerexpress mini-train will take you through the town to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, which houses the most beautiful collection of automated musical instruments in Germany. Day 6 Strasbourg (France)

Arrive in Strasbourg, the Alsatian city that straddles the border between France and Germany. Fairy-tale houses mix with cobblestone streets and must-see canals, and Strasbourg Cathedral towers over the World Heritage-listed city centre. Discover the picturesque sites on a guided tour and enjoy the pretty scenery. You will have plenty of time to explore further at your leisure afterwards. The romantic district known as Petite France is a wonderful place to roam, and if you’re feeling peckish, perhaps stop by a local bakery for a traditional bretzel. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Breisach (Germany)

Disembark in Breisach and embark on a journey through the enchanting Black Forest region. Travel by coach through lush pine and birch forests that blanket the mountainsides, arriving at the picturesque village of Triberg. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Basel (Switzerland) - UK

After breakfast on board, disembark and be transferred to Basel airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)

Insider Experience – Cologne Christmas Market. Be immersed in the festive spirit with a visit to the city’s impressive Christmas market, backdropped by the iconic  Kolner Dom Cathedral. Here, you’ll have the chance to sample mulled wine and some local delicacies. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Cochem

Sit back and soak up the scenery as your ship gently meanders through some of prettiest stretches along the Moselle River. Pass landscapes of lush vineyards and rolling hills, and disembark in the pretty town of Cochem in the Moselle Valley. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Rudesheim

Cruise through the Rhine Gorge – considered the most beautiful section of the Rhine River. Dock in Rüdesheim  and ride the Winzerexpress mini-train through the town to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Here, discover a magnificent collection of automated musical instruments. Follow the scent of gingerbread to the Old Town where you’ll find  Rüdesheim’s charming Christmas market in full swing. Be sure to call in on the famous  Käthe  Wohlfahrt Christmas store for decorations and gifts. (B,L,D)
Day 6 Strasbourg (France)

Arrive in Strasbourg, the Alsatian city that straddles the border between France and Germany. Discover the picturesque sites on a guided tour and enjoy the pretty scenery. You will also have time to explore the Christkindelsmärik Christmas market, the oldest in France. More than 300 chalet-style stalls are strung throughout the city’s historic district with a towering Christmas tree at its centre. If you’re feeling peckish, this is the perfect opportunity to taste some local treats. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Breisach

Disembark in Breisach to explore the Black Forest region. Travel by coach, on a scenic drive through Kaiserstuhl and Karlsplatz to the Freiburg Christmas Markets where you will enjoy a gingerbread tasting. (B,L,D)
